Minimum Requirements
BSc Eng, BEng degree in Electrical Engineering
3 - 5 years of SCADA design experience in power distribution and/or generation systems ie: Substations and/or Renewables
Experience with fault finding on Serial and Ethernet Networks
Experience with Fiber Optic Networks
Responsibilities
Design MV/HV substation distribution networks.
Specifying, designing, configuring, and overseeing the factory acceptance testing and commissioning of complete Substation Automation Systems for both generation and distribution projects.
Support in preparing design documents, BOQs, specs, and detailed design packages.
Configure, test, and commission HMIs, gateways, protection relays, and substation networks (serial/Ethernet).
Implement secure industrial networking in substations (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, etc.).
Conduct Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
Design HMI, RTU, ODF panels and program user logic (IEC 61131-3).
Liaise with drafting teams and OEMs to ensure compliance with client standards.
