Minimum Requirements
Relevant tertiary honours degree.
Min 12 - 15 years experience in a similar role.
Technical working experience in the steel, iron, metal wire etc sector - 8- 10 years experience.
Advanced Excel skills - analytical graphs.
Strong working knowledge of MRP systems.
Good communication skills, combined with a fine eye for detail.
Minimum 8 years experience in imports and exports.
Responsibilities
Conducting analytical research as buying of products is more than 6 months in advance.
Maintain good business relations with suppliers to ensure best possible service.
Select and source from suppliers in line with preferential procurement targets.
Negotiate best prices, discounts and settlement discounts.
Liaise with suppliers in terms of the logistics of deliveries.
