Cost Accountant (Industrial Manufacturing)
A leading industrial manufacturing concern is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the analysing and managing all costs associated with the production process.

Minimum Requirements
BCom Accounting Degree.
Studying towards or CIMA qualified would be advantageous.
Min 4 years relevant experience within the cost accounting field with exposure to monthly/quarterly.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
Experience with budgeting and forecasting
Responsibilities
Collaborate with production, purchasing, and management teams to ensure accurate financial data that supports strategic decision-making.
Investigate material over / under recoveries and abnormal cost increases in respect of material, labour, and overheads.
Supervise and prepare manufacturing cost center budgets and forecasts.
Calculate recovery rates in conjunction with relevant manufacturing departments heads.
Accurate and timely processing and reconciliation of weekly/monthly wages.
Accurate reporting of all inventory balances.
Coordinate annual cost updates and analyse product profitability and bill of materials.
Machine rate calculations
Report on and provide support on purchase price and labour variances.
Accrue for inbound/outbound freight and clearing cost, analyse against actuals and recommend improvements.
Product warranty accruals and periodic review of provision rates
