Electrical Engineer (Power distribution systems design experience required)
Our client is currently seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineer (ONLY BEng and BSc degrees) to join their team, focusing on the design and project engineering of power distribution systems. The successful candidate will be someone with 1–2 years of experience in design and/or project engineering within power distribution systems, who is proficiency in interpreting MV single line diagrams.
Exposure to consulting, EPC, or Eskom environments is advantageous.

Minimum Requirements
BSc Eng or BEng degree in Electrical Engineering.
1–2 years of experience in design and/or project engineering within power distribution systems.
Proficiency in interpreting MV single line diagrams.
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent drafting software.
Exposure to consulting, EPC, or Eskom environments is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Design & Planning: Develop concept and basic designs for medium-voltage (MV) distribution networks, including equipment and cable sizing and selection.
Technical Documentation: Assist senior engineers in preparing detailed design documents, bills of quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and layout drawings that adhere to relevant standards.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with drafting teams to produce design layouts and single-line diagrams (SLDs). Engage with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers to ensure technical compliance with client specifications.
Design Review & Modification: Participate in reviewing contractor or third-party designs under senior engineer guidance. Implement design changes and update drawings and documents accordingly.
Testing & Commissioning Support: Attend and contribute to factory and site acceptance tests (FAT and SAT). Provide on-site engineering support during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
Site Engagement: Conduct site assessments and audits. Attend and contribute to site and project technical meetings as required.
Proposal Preparation: Assist in preparing expressions of interest (EOIs), tenders, and requests for quotations.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Demonstrate a personal commitment to HSE by adhering to the company's policies and participating in related initiatives.
Knowledge Sharing: Engage in knowledge sharing and contribute to company initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
