Inventory and Demand Controller (Heavy Engineering/Mining)

Our client is a leading heavy engineering concern and they are looking for an Inventory and Demand Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will use analytical, marketing and sales data to effectively estimate future product demands as well as healthy inventory management.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Min 5+ years' experience in demand planning/inventory control.
Experience in inventory management, preferably in manufacturing/heavy engineering combined with technical knowledge.
Strong analytical skills and computer proficiency. (EXCEL)
Inventory management experience is essential.
Responsibilities
Analyse data to forecast demand and recommend inventory strategies.
Contribute to purchasing and vendor stock strategies.
Oversee demand planning for new and existing products.
Collaborate with sales and supply chain to improve forecast accuracy.
Maintain inventory to meet customer needs cost-effectively.
Drive inventory reduction and optimization projects.
Monitor stock health, volatility, and stock levels (MSL) in ERP system.
Prepare SCM reports (e.g., spend, inventory value, stock health).
Ensure compliance with QMS standards.
Maintain demand planning processes and systems.
