A prominent freight forwarding and logistics provider, specializing in tailored solutions for manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers of industrial and general cargo across Africa, is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager/Business Development Executive to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and capitalizing on new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach.

Minimum Requirements
Relevant Tertiary Degree in Marketing/General Management.
Min 10 years' experience in the freight forwarding/logistics sector.
Min 5 years' experience in a similar role and relationship building at commercial level.
Change management capability.
Ability to travel locally, regionally and internationally.
Responsibilities
Achieve quarterly business goals while building strategic relationships with clients, contacts, and partners.
Maintain a business development database for tracking clients, prospects, proposals, competition, and performance metrics..
Travel domestically and internationally for partnerships and opportunities.
Manage industry relationships, commission structures, and discounts.
Lead project development, implementation, and ongoing management.
Promote and sell business services to industries like general cargo, FMCG, mining, oil and gas, energy, and bulk shipping.
Identify and engage potential clients, focusing on EMEA markets.
Negotiate term contracts with international road and seafreight carriers/charterers.
Oversee warehouse, containerized, and bulk cargo management.
Handle logistics and supply chain management for international clients.
Manage dry and wet bulk (oil and gas) capital projects.
