Senior Engineer (Legal Compliance – GMR 2.1/GMR2.7)

A leading industrial manufacturing concern is urgently looking for a Senior Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to join their team. The successful candidate will have a BEng/BSc Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering as well as a completed GCC.

R900 000 CTC - R1.1 Mil CTC (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

Minimum Requirements
B-Eng Degree (NQF8) Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
Government Certificate of Competency (GCC Factories).
4 years’ relevant experience in a Maintenance Environment within Operations.
GMR 2.7a appointee within Operations or currently a GMR 2.1 appointee.
Responsibilities
Responsible to provide structure and coordination for SHERQ policy and actions related to the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment on site.
Develop, direct and coordinate the implementation of Legal Compliance programs and strategies.
Conduct incident investigations of serious incidents/injuries.
Perform duties intended by the General Machinery Regulation and manage GMR 2.7a appointees via dotted line - to ensure compliance on plant level with OHS Act requirements.
Ensure Plant Maintenance personnel operate according to legal requirements.
Ensure legal requirements built into SAP Maintenance procedures.
